Upgrade your zumo 590 to zumo 595 firmware

Even better - today I have created and loaded my own custom splash screen! I think the first time it has been done with a 590 or 595!

Hi from Spain.
This is my first post in this forum, so I want to say Hello to the users and ask for some help.
I have bought a zumo 590 and i was surprised to found this forum and to know that it was possible to upgrade to a 595!!
But when i was trying to control my breath....the first link, the Garmin Updater program was down, and also the second, the RGN_Tool.exe .....
So i have downloaded the firmwares 590 and 595, but I need to know if its possible to found the other tools anywhere...i have tried but no luck to find

hi everybody,
i need your help about the procedure to upgrade my zumo 590 to 595.
it works everything well until next steps:

* Wait till you see; System Loader in small font in the top of the zumo screen (computer should do pling/plong for usb connection).
* Press OK in the Updater

i hear the pling/plong on the pc, i see the text System that move upside down in the top center of the screen but the Updater never recognize the Zumo (the field USB remain always empty) and if i'll wait and i'll continue to press the right bottom angle of the screen the text "loading" appears in place of System and after this the zumo goes in Mass storage configuration (orange pc icon on the screen).

i've followed also the video on youtube but i think that the problem is that the Updater is not able to recognize the zumo (but the connection with the pc is good because when start the Mass storage configuration i can navigate in the folders of the zumo by pc)

could someone help me?

Hallo,

Een tijdje geleden heb ik geprobeerd mijn Garmin te upgraden van een 590 naar een 595. De handleiding was duidelijk en prima te volgen. Ik liep helaas wel tegen één probleem aan namelijk: wanneer ik de Garmin probeer op te starten en twee vingers op het scherm gedrukt heb, blijft het scherm op "system" staan. Windows herkent het apparaat ook niet tijdens dit scherm. Het enigste wat ik dan kan doen is de vingers loslaten en een calibratie uitvoeren.

Mijn Garmin is reeds volledig geupgrade via de Explorer software.
Toevallig nog tips over hoe ik dit probleem kan oplossen? Ik zou graag de upgrade uit willen voeren namelijk.

Ze doen het allemaal nog...

Waar ik zelf in het verleden de fout mee maakte was dat mijn bladwijzer verwees naar de onbeveiligde verbinding (http). De site is dan wel te bezoeken, maar de links werken niet. Gebruik je https dan werken ze wel.
(Intussen heb ik mijn bladwijzer aangepast nadat ik een paar keer tegen dit probleem was aangelopen)
